Prostate cancer with bone and lymph nodes metastases

Presentation

High PSA and biopsy-proven prostate adenocarcinoma. Underwent pelvic MRI for staging.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male

Hypointense lesion on T2 in the peripheral zone on the left side, affecting the apex and the middle third of the gland. The lesion has a restricted diffusion coefficient. There is early enhancement of the lesion after gadolinium injection.

There is also bilateral pelvic and right inguinal lymphadenopathy.

Bone metastases with extension to the adjacent soft tissues is seen in the right acetabulum, ischium and pubis.

Case Discussion

A pelvic MRI was performed to evaluate the extent of a biopsy-proven prostate cancer and demonstrated bilateral lymphadenopathy and bone metastases.
