An endoluminal lesion at the hepatic colonic flexure and the right side of the transverse colon is noted averaging 5 cm. It is encroaching upon and distending the colonic lumen with no proximal obstruction. Preserved pericolic fat. The mass showed an internal matrix of mainly fatty density with enhancing fine internal septae. Enhancing wall is also noted averaging 8 mm.

The liver showed tiny focal hypodense areas within segments VI and VIII, the largest is averaging 9 mm likely representing small parenchymal cysts.

Scans through pelvis showed multiple small uterine fibroids.

A tiny appendicolith is noted with otherwise normal features of the appendix.

Case Discussion

Gastrointestinal tract lipoma can occur anywhere along the GIT and is more commonly located in the colon, usually right-sided with pure fatty content.

In this case, features are representative of a colonic fat-rich solitary lesion as described, likely colonic lipoma.
