Comminuted, displaced and impacted fracture of the proximal left humerus, extending from the anatomical neck to the surgical neck. Posterior dislocation of the humeral head relative to the glenoid cavity (with further locking/impaction).
Case Discussion
Posterior shoulder fracture-dislocations are rare, and most often result from high energy trauma. The anatomical neck is the most common site of fracture associated with posterior dislocations.
