Anomalous course of the right coronary artery, originating from the left coronary cusp and coursing between the aorta and pulmonary trunk.
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates an interarterial course of the right coronary artery, arising from the left coronary cusp and coursing between the aorta and pulmonary trunk. Whilst most commonly an asymptomatic incidental finding, this course puts the right coronary artery at higher risk of stenosis and myocardial ischemia and therefore has been also called 'malignant'.
