Case Discussion

Glenoid rim fractures are most commonly seen in recurrent anterior shoulder dislocations resulting in the avulsion of the capsulo-labral-ligament complex. In rim fractures with displacement <5mm, short duration immobilization with radiographic and clinical follow up is recommended. However progression of displacement would warrant surgical concentric reduction. Multiple glenoid / scapula fracture classifications are in place and can be read here.
