There is superolateral displacement of both femoral heads with short epiphyses resulting in disruption of Shenton's line. Both acetabulum also appears shallow. (Puttis's triad).
Case Discussion
Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is also called as congenital hip dislocation/dysplasia and it is a wide spectrum of hip abnormality, ranging from a shallow acetabulum to a completely dislocated hip (high-riding hip). It is more common in females with a ratio of 8:1 as compared to males, first child with positive family history, breech presentation, left side and bilateral in approximately 20% of cases 1-3.
