Osteochondritis dissecans of the medial femoral condyle with full thickness articular defect and intra-articular loose bone body
Presentation
Chronic left knee pain. Locked knee since 2 days.
Patient Data
Plain X-ray of the knee joint shows a rounded likely intra-articular loose bone body related to the posterior medial femoral condyle. Distension of the supra-patellar bursa by likely joint effusion is noted.
Osteochondral lesion of the posterior medial femoral condyle with a full thickness articular cartilage tear is noted as well as a related posterior intra-articular 1.5 X 0.5 cm loose foreign body is noted just posterior to and indenting the posterior aspect of the posterior cruciate ligament and the posterior horn medial meniscus. Mild to moderate joint effusion. No ligamentous or meniscal tear.
