CABG surgery many years ago. Now has chest pain and cough. CT scan of the chest to assess for malignancy.

Ununited manubrial osteotomy (sternal split) with wire sutures that have "pulled through". Sternal body has united. Note how the lung (arrow) has herniated into the defect created by the non-union.
Case Discussion
This is an unusual non-union of the manubrium that has created a gap into which the lung has herniated and is presumably associated with a cough impulse.
