There is lobulated calcification involving the insertion site of the straight head of the left rectus femoris muscle. Calcification measures about 14 x 12 x 10 mm. The straight head of the tendon is intact. Perifocal hypervascularity is present. The reflected (or "indirect") head of the left rectus femoris is normal. There is no left hip joint effusion.
The right rectus femoris tendon is normal.
