Ring down artifact

The image is obtained from a transrectal ultrasound of the prostate. The patient has a Foley catheter in place, and the irregular echogenic region in the center of the image is a small amount of air trapped in the catheter.
A tight reverberation artifact occurs behind the air bubbles. The tight "rungs" on the "ladder" in this artifact corresponds with ring down artifact.
