Presentation

Four days of febrile illness.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Patchy airspace opacity throughout the right lung in keeping with bronchopneumonia. Left lung is clear. No pleural effusion.

Case Discussion

Bronchopneumonia is infection involving the secondary pulmonary lobes, and tends to result in scattered nodular opacities involving more than one lobe.
