Temporomandibular joint ankylosis

There is ankylosis of both mandibular condyles and their respective fossae.
Case Discussion
Temporomandibular joint ankylosis in children is most commonly due to trauma. Other causes include infection, rheumatoid arthritis, hypoparathyroidism, psoriasis and burns.
This particular patient also had a history of periodontal abscesses.
