Case Discussion

The patient was a diabetic with end-stage renal disease who developed pain and swelling in the chin following dental work, despite being on oral antibiotics.
She was admitted to the ENT department for high-dose IV Augmentin. Puncture under local anesthesia did not yield pus. Under antibiotic treatment, pain and swelling subsided.
