What are the imaging features of this GB lesion?
There is a 27mm polypoid lesion within the lumen of the GB that is fixed to the wall. There is no posterior acoustic enhancement or ring-down artefact. There is internal vascularity on Doppler imaging. No extramural extension beyond the GB wall. There are no imaging features to indicate a pseudopolypoid lesion and therefore this should be managed as a GB polyp.
What is the management of this GB lesion?
Polyps measuring 10mm or greater should be referred for consideration of cholecystectomy due to a higher risk of malignancy.
