Mildly enlarged right epididymis with heterogeneous hyperechoic echotexture. The right testis and epididymis showed increased vascularity surrounded by septated scrotal hydrocele.
Normal size and texture of the left testis and epididymis with minimal hydrocele.
Bilateral scrotal pearls (scrotoliths) are noted.
Case Discussion
Epididymo-orchitis is a common cause of scrotal pain. It can occur at any age. It should be differentiated from testicular torsion and follow up may be required to assess possible, however rare, complications like abscess formation or testicular infarction. Treatment is usually conservative with an antibiotic course.
