Ongoing ankle pain. Background history of hemophilia.

Patient Data

Age: 28 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Extensive degenerative changes including joint space narrowing and osteophytosis involving the ankle and talocalcaneal joints. 

Case Discussion

Haemophilic arthropathy is a consequence of chronic hemarthrosis in patients with hemophilia. 

It may involve one or more joints. 

In this case radiographic features of haemophilic arthropathy are demonstrated, 

Differential diagnosis in young patients include Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
