4-year-old girl brought by her parents to the emergency department with fever and shortness of breath.

Moderate adenoidal hypertrophy causing moderate to severe nasopharyngeal narrowing.

Case Discussion

Adenoidal hypertrophy is enlargement of the adenoid tonsils, most commonly secondary to an underlying inflammatory process. It is commonly seen in the pediatric population.
