Gender: Female

Circumscribed, mixed density, partially enhancing, solid/cystic mass extending into the right L5-S1 neural foramina. The mass demonstrates fluid-fluid levels. There is mass effect upon the right iliopsoas muscle. There is no osseous destruction. Mild bony remodeling at the inferior aspect of the right L5 transverse process.

Circumscribed, mixed intensity, partially enhancing, solid/cystic mass extending into the right L5-S1 neural foramina. The mass demonstrates fluid-fluid levels and T1 hyperintensity, likely hemorrhage. There is mass effect upon the right iliopsoas muscle. There is no osseous destruction.

Biopsy Proven:

Pathologic Diagnosis DESIGNATED RIGHT PARASPINAL; RIGHT PARASPINAL MASS BIOPSY: Benign peripheral nerve sheath tumor with degenerative changes, consistent with schwannoma.
