Presentation

Referred for telemetric evaluation of bilateral genu varus.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Well-defined lytic lesion with a sclerotic rim (rind sign) in the right femoral neck.

Case Discussion

The rind sign is suggestive of fibrous dysplasia. The classical rind is most commonly seen in the proximal femur.
