Colonic polyp (virtual colonoscopy)

Presentation

Young male with a history of rectal cancer one year ago. Post-operative scan.

Patient Data

Age: 30-40 years
Gender: Male

CT shows large pedunculated polypoid filling defect with lobulated margins in the ascending colon. There is mild retraction at the medial colonic wall with small pericolic lymph nodes.

Finding suggestive with a pedunculated colon polyp.

This is a pathologically proven case of a hyperplastic colonic polyp.
