There is a wedge-shaped hypodense area in the left occipital and inferior mesial temporal lobe involving cortex and subcortical white matter. There is a loss of sulcal and gyral differentiation in these areas with some comparative effacement of the left occipital horn of lateral ventricle.
This hypodensity represents infarct in the typical territory of the left posterior cerebral artery.
