Vertebral lymphoma

There is complete collapse of the L1 vertebral body, with compression of the conus by a soft tissue mass. The discs on either side are preserved. 

Case Discussion

The patient went on to have a CT guided biopsy. 

Histology

Marked crush/stretching artifact is present, but where morphology is preserved, a diffuse large cell morphology is noted, with a high MIB-1 proliferative index.
