Presentation
Swelling in right acromioclavicular joint region for about last 2 - 3 months.
Patient Data
There is a lobulated cystic lesion ( about 25 x 20 x 15 mm ) abutting the cranial surface of the right acromioclavicular joint. It appears to communicate with the joint.
There is non-visualization of the long head biceps tendon, supraspinatus tendon, infraspinatus tendon and subscapularis tendon.
There is a varing degree of fatty atrophy and volume loss involving muscle bellies of the long head biceps, supraspinatus, and infraspinatus.
There is a reduction of acromion-humeral space.
Case Discussion
Elderly female presented with swelling in the right acromioclavicular joint region. Ultrasound shows a lobulated cyst abutting and communicating right acromioclavicular joint with chronic, massive rotator cuff tear. It is known as a Geyser sign.
