Presentation

History of nausea, vomiting, dizziness and headache for 10 days.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

Large area of hypodensity in the right posterior inferior cerebellar hemisphere and right side vermis with mass effect over the fourth ventricle and resultant mild acute proximal hydrocephalus.

Increased T2w signal and abnormal diffusion restriction is noted in the right posterior inferior cerebellar hemisphere and right side of the vermis.

Case Discussion

The infarct is located in the right posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) territory.
