What is a cause of reversible cardiomyopathy in pediatric patients?
Though rare, persistent tachyarrythmias, including atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, SVT, and AVNRT, can lead to reversible dilated cardiomyopathy in children and adolescents.
1. New moderately severe cardiomegaly with moderate pulmonary vascular congestion and moderately severe interstitial and alveolar edema (most evident in the right lung).
2. No definite focal pneumonia, pleural effusion or pneumothorax.
