Recurrent acute on chronic right shoulder pain. Painful arc.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

A long dense linear focus of calcification with the morphological appearance of the supraspinatus tendon in the subacromial space.

Minor AC joint degenerative change.

Case Discussion

The supraspinatus muscle of the rotator cuff is the most common of the 4 muscles to calcify in the context of calcific tendinosis.
