Jaw pain and swelling.

Lytic lesion is centered on the crown of an unerupted left mandibular wisdom tooth (38).

Non-contrast volume acquisition. 2.3 cm low density (23 HU) lytic lesion is centered on the crown of an unerupted left mandibular wisdom tooth (38). It is mildly expansile with some cortical thinning of the medial mandible no soft tissue component. No other focal osseous lesions.

Case Discussion

Typical appearances of a dentigerous cyst, although uncommonly this appearance can be mimicked by ameloblastoma or keratocystic odontogenic tumor.
