Presentation

Echogenic cardiac focus detected in routine 5 month ultrasound scan. Fetal MRI requested by parents to assure of no other fetal anomalies.

Patient Data

Age: 22 weeks
Gender: Male

Single intrauterine fetus in cephalic presentation, longitudinal lie, back to maternal left. Fundal posterior placenta away from internal os. Three vessel umbilical cord. Normal fetal neurogram. Normal lungs, diaphragm, liver, gall bladder, kidneys, intestines, urinary bladder, genitals, limbs. Normal umbilical and placental cord insertion. Normal face anatomy. 

Case Discussion

No congenital structural anomalies identified in the MRI. Fetal Echo was recommended to rule out any cardiac anomalies.
