Presentation

Screening prior to heart transplantation. Dilated cardiomyopathy and consequent heart failure.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

A left ventricular assist device (HeartMate 3) is situated in a normal position. An implantable cardioverter defibrillator is also visible with the lead in the right ventricle. Cardiomegaly and marked apical pleural thickening on both sides.
