There is severe widening of the coronal and lambdoid sutures, appreciated on lateral projection.

Case Discussion

These images were obtained during the workup for ventriculoperitoneal shunt catheter placement, and they show a typical appearance of sutural diastasis secondary to increased intracranial pressure (hydrocephalus in this case).
