Presentation
Right scapular region bump noticed for last few weeks. No significant pain. No trauma.
Patient Data
There is a posteriorly directed bony outgrowth from the medial border of the scapula. It is closer to the scapular spine. There is no other bone lesion.
At the site of clinically visible and palpable swelling, there is a focal area of cortical elevation from the medial border of the scapula. It is covered by a thin anechoic rim which represents cartilage. The lesion is about 10 mm caudal to scapular spine level. It measures about 6 x 4 x 3 mm.
Case Discussion
A child presented with a bump in scapular region. Radiograph and ultrasound show scapular osteochondroma.
