Methotrexate-induced non-specific interstitial pneumonitis

Presentation

History of rheumatoid arthritis. Chronic cough.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Subpleural reticular opacity with a basal predominance with immediate subpleural sparing. There is associated traction bronchiectasis. No honeycombing. ​Small bilateral pulmonary nodules. 

Case Discussion

The patient had been treated with methotrexate for her rheumatoid arthritis and this is the presumed cause of the NSIP.
