Multiple dilated bowel loops are seen. Valvulae conniventes are seen traversing the dilated bowel loops, confirming that these are small bowel loops. No rectal gas is seen.
No free air in the peritoneal cavity to suggest perforation.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound detected numerous ascaris nematodes within one of the dilated bowel loops as the cause of intestinal obstruction.
