Known case of alkaptonuria.

Gender: Male

There is osteoporotic bones with multi level intervertebral disc calcification and disc space narrowing. 

Case Discussion

The findings in a patient with known alkaptonuria are consistent with ochronosisThe term ochronosis usually refers to the bluish black discoloration of certain tissues, such as the ear cartilage and the ocular tissue, seen with alkaptonuria. On imaging, the most particular presentation is on the spine, with osteoporotic bones and dense disc calcifications.
