Presentation

Right sided weakness with slurring of speech

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Multifocal hemorrhagic acute to subacute infarction seen involving left parasagittal frontal cortex and right corona radiata. Chronic bilateral periventricular and ventrolateral pontine small vessel ischemic changes. Age related cerebral atrophy.

Case Discussion

When suspecting stroke, it is important to identify if the involved areas confine to 'territories' of arterial supply. If not, venous infarction should be a differential. Learn your arterial territories with this case of left anterior cerebral and right middle cerebral hemorrhagic infarctions.
