Abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years

A well defined tongue-like liver tissue projection arising from the caudate lobe and extending medially.

Features are consistent with a prominent papillary process of the caudate lobe. The importance of this finding is in not confusing it with a hepatic or pancreatic neoplasm, or a retroperitoneal lymph node.
