Presentation

Painless jaw swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male
ct

Large well-defined expansile unicystic lesion, measuring 80×37×31 mm in the body the of mandible with extension to left side and involved of ipsilateral alveolar ridge.  The lesion is along the bone without apparent evidence of bony destruction.

Mild mucosal thickening is seen at both maxillary sinuses.

 

Case Discussion

Typical (pathology proven) case of odontogenic keratocyst which is a benign cystic lesion involving the mandible or maxilla. They typically appear as an expansile solitary unilocular lesion extending longitudinally in the mandible.
