30 years old male patient post twisting trauma to the foot. Clinically tender in the middle aspect of the foot.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Subtle licences seen in medial cuneiform bone.

Swelling of overlying soft tissues.

CT showing minimally displaced fracture in the inferior aspect of medial cuneiform bone.

Case Discussion

Due to specific dynamic forces in foot cuneiform bones are rarely fractured and commonly missed on plain radiographs. 

This case shows how important it is to double check areas of concern often pointed by patients in real clinical settings.
