Presentation

Screening mammogram. No symptoms.

Patient Data

Age: 55
Gender: Female
mammography

There is a circumscribed mass in the upper outer quadrant of the left breast with large lobulations. It was only slightly larger than on the previous mammogram performed three years prior (not shown) but better visualized due to technical differences.

ultrasound

Circumscribed, lobulated mass with some angular margins and a taller-than-wide orientation. Internal vascularity is present. There is posterior acoustic enhancement, but no visible cystic component.

Case Discussion

Histologically proven intraductal papilloma of the breast. In this case, there is no associated cystic component.
