Meningioma - bright on T2

Arising from the right side of the flax is a mass with slightly lower signal intensity than cortex on T1 weighted images and high T2 signal, only slightly less bright than CSF. Following administration of contrast, it enhances vividly. 

Case Discussion

The patient went on to have a resection. 

Histology

Sections show a meningioma displaying a sheeting pattern. Mitotic activity is not elevated. Areas of tumor necrosis are not seen. Macronucleoli are not evident.
