Presentation
Right lower quadrant pain, nausea, elevated CRP and leukocytosis. Abdominal ultrasound demonstrated increased echogenicity of the fatty tissue in the ileocecal region, and pelvic free fluid, but could not visualize the appendix. Negative pregnancy test.
