MR images show a nidus of compact signal void vessels with the typical appearance of “bag of black worms” in the left frontoparietal region; with the base lying on cortex and apex pointing to the ventricle. Slight perilesional edema is observed. There is no sign of hemorrhage. No midline shift.
Case Discussion
Typical appearance of cerebral arteriovenous malformation which is a common form of cerebral vascular malformation and are composed of a nidus of vessels through which arteriovenous shunting occurs.
