Upper thoracic spinal dysraphism

Spinal dysraphism/absent posterior neural elements of T2 down to T6 vertebrae with herniation of the thoracic cord through this defect to project into large CSF filled meningocele. Absent overlying skin.
The sagittal images showed features of Chiari II malformation manifested by small posterior fossa, displacement of the cerebellar tonsils through the foramen magnum, effaced 4th ventricle and supratentorial marked hydrocephalic changes.
Case Discussion
This case shows cervical and upper thoracic spinal dysraphism with large myelomeningocele secondary to Chiari II malformation.
