Recurrent fainting attacks with headcahe.
Patient Data
Diffuse nidus of malformed flow voids with serpiginous appearance (bag of worms) involving the left temporal and parietal lobes resulting in 6 mm of midline shift.
The arterial supply derived from a dilated left middle cerebral artery and venous drainage is to cortical veins, internal cerebral vein and superior sagittal sinus.
No hemorrhage. Atrophy of the left temporal lobe with a dilated left temporal horn. No abnormal vascular malformation of the soft tissues of the skull or face.
Case Discussion
These findings are in a known untreated parenchymal arteriovenous malformation.
