Presentation

Incidental findiing patient with acute pancreatitis. The history of prolonged alchohol use.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male
ct

Increase of bilateral  breast glandular tissue (ginecomastia)

Note the bilateral pleural effusion, atelectasis and peripancreatic fluid collections consistent with grade E pancreatitis.

Case Discussion

Long-term alcohol intake may cause pancreatitis and also gynecomastia.

Gynecomastia is the benign enlargement of male breast glandular tissue and usually caused by increased estrogen activity, decreased testosterone activity.
