Acute right hemiparesis, aphasia, headaches, somnolence

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Female

Left temporo-occipital wedge-shaped area of hemorrhage involving cortical and subcortical distribution with hyperdensity of the left transverse sinus and the deep brain veins. Local mass effect. No hydrocephalus. No fracture.

Cerebral angiography

Thrombosis of the left transverse sinus, sigmoid sinus, the bulbus superior venae jugularis, and internal cerebral veins.
