Whats the cause of aortic coarctation in this patient?
Both Shone's complex and bicuspid aortic valve are independent causes of aortic coarctation.
Chordae tendineae attached mainly to a single papillary muscle (parachute mitral valve).
Thin mitral membrane
Left ventricular outflow tract partially obstructed by the ventricular septum; notice the flow artifact -occurs at a valvular level due to a bicuspid aortic valve. Severe ductal aortic coarctation associated with dilated mammary artery and scapular collaterals.
