Case Discussion

Mandibular fracture is commonly seen in the cases of the head and face trauma. Imaging of the mandibular fracture often raises the question of whether the imaging should be included Orthopantomogram (OPG), plain film or both as well as which is the superior imaging approach.

Equally, there are cases where the Plain film demonstrates fractures clearly that are not seen on Orthopantomogram (OPG). Conversely, the opposite is also true.
