Presentation

Fever.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Widening of the right and left paravertebral stripe in the lower thoracic region. Subtle loss of height of T9-10 intervertebral disc. The lungs are clear.

Case Discussion

Subsequent CT and MRI confirm changes of discitis/osteomyelitis centered on T9-T10, with paravertebral and epidural collections. The patient is being treated for TB on the basis of imaging though no biopsy/aspirate has been performed.
