The patient came with lower leg pain posteriorly and swelling after forceful dorsiflexion with an audible snap at the time of injury.

There is a complete thickness left Achilles tendon tear with a gap filled by anechoic fluid (fluid/blood) and retraction of both Achilles tendon ends.
The right Achilles tendon is unremarkable.

Classical history of forceful dorsiflexion of the foot accompanied by sudden onset of pain and swelling in the Achilles tendon region. The orthopedic surgeon confirmed complete thickness Achilles tendon tear.
